2. How far in advance should I book my move?

In general, we recommend booking your move 2–3 weeks in advance, especially for weekends, month-end, and long-distance moves. This way, you have a better chance of getting your preferred date and time.

However, we know life doesn’t always go as planned. If you have a last-minute or emergency move, contact us and we will do our best to fit you in as soon as possible.

3. Do you offer same-day or emergency moving services?

Yes. We provide same-day and next-day emergency moving services when our schedule allows. For example, we often help with urgent relocations for homes, apartments, students, and offices when plans change suddenly.

4. How does your pricing work? Are there any hidden fees?

When it comes to pricing, our goal is to keep everything simple and transparent. Most moves are billed on an hourly basis with a 2-hour minimum, plus travel time where applicable.

Your quote will clearly outline:

  • Hourly rate and minimum hours
  • Number of movers and truck size
  • Any extra services you request (packing, junk removal, etc.)

Most importantly, we do not add surprise or hidden fees at the end of the job. What we agree on in advance is exactly what you pay.

5. Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. Eddie Movers is a fully licensed and insured moving company. This means our coverage helps protect you and your belongings while they are in our care.

In addition, we treat every item as if it were our own and follow professional moving practices on every job, so you can feel more secure throughout the entire move.

6. What is your cancellation or rescheduling policy?

We understand that plans can change unexpectedly. Because of that, if you need to cancel or reschedule, we simply ask that you let us know as early as possible so we can adjust our schedule.

Packing, Move Size & Access

7. Can you help with packing and unpacking?

Absolutely. We offer full or partial packing services depending on your needs, so you can decide how much you want to handle yourself.

Our team can:

  • Pack your entire home or just selected rooms
  • Wrap and protect fragile items, TVs, mirrors, and artwork
  • Provide moving blankets and straps for safe transport

If you prefer to pack on your own, we are still happy to simply load, move, and unload everything for you.

8. What size moves can you handle?

We handle moves of almost any size, from very small to quite large. For example, we regularly move:

  • Studios, condos, and apartments
  • Townhomes and multi-bedroom houses
  • Office and commercial spaces
  • House, car, and furniture-only moves

Our 16 ft trucks are great for smaller moves, while 24 ft trucks are ideal for larger homes and offices that need more space.

9. Do you move condos and apartments with elevators or tight access?

Yes. We have extensive experience with condo and apartment moves across the GTA. Because of this, we are very familiar with elevators, loading docks, and underground parking requirements.

Please remember to:

  • Reserve the elevator with your building management in advance
  • Arrange parking or loading access for the truck
  • Let us know about any special access rules or time restrictions
10. Are there any items you cannot move?

For safety and legal reasons, movers cannot transport certain items. For example, we are not allowed to move:
